Before La Vélo Francette was officially opened (in June 2015), this old-hand at cycling was already exploring the 630 km of our "so frenchy" cycle route from Ouistreham to La Rochelle !

La Rochelle > Caen - 630 km (35 to 120 km/day)
This was a truly exceptional way to end the ride. The Thury-Harcourt to Caen voie verte is a super 27km cycling highway.
It is a seemless piece of cycling infrastructure, complete with safety barriers to slow cycle traffic at local thoroughfares and villages. There are even horse rest areas for four-legged travellers.
